About me

You probably arrived at my blog because you were looking for some sort of natural or holistic health information. Maybe you found me because you are struggling to breastfeed with low supply, or you’re trying to lose weight and heard about the keto diet. Maybe someone told you about CBD oil, or you are having a chronic health issue that you can’t seem to solve. But you arrived here at this blog, and you aren’t sure if you will find what you’re looking for. Good (and bad) news: I’m not really sure what I’m doing having this blog up yet, but I know that I’ve gained priceless knowledge on a lot of these topics that has helped me. I hope I can help you somehow.

A little about me, then? I am a major crunchy mama of 2, both age 2 and younger. I’ve been married 6 years to a man just as creative as myself – he’s a singer, songwriter, and digital artist. I love Jesus passionately with all my heart. Coffee (ahem, espresso, rather) is my favorite thing on earth apart from Jesus, though I don’t need it anymore – my body runs on ketones now and I feel the best I ever have. I am generally peaceful and non confrontational. However, I’m pretty passionate about a lot of things besides the obvious (my faith in God) – healthcare, weight loss, vaccines, circumcision, and a lot of additional things that I would probably lose some friends over if I got into it. I am insanely crafty and don’t know what to do with my crafts most of the time. Recently, I learned how to make resin breastmilk jewelry and have no idea what to do with it. I am a painter, a lapel pin maker, and a professional photographer and retoucher. I also dabble in digital art. I graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 2011 with a Bachelor of the Arts in photography, and I do work for a photographer and a company doing retouching and social media management. I also serve as a deacon at Metro Praise International church in Chicago, so if you’re looking for a church, come through! My family and church family love hosting events and bible studies and we’d love to be your friend.

Shoot me an email if you want to connect. I promise I won’t make you listen to my soapbox spiel about Big Pharma and all that stuff. Unless, of course, you’re interested, and you ended up at my blog for that very reason. 😉
